About me and my therapy practice
Life can be hard, particularly when something happens to bring you to your knees in pain, anguish, hopelessness, etc. In such times of crisis, it can be incredibly beneficial to speak to someone completely out of your family and social circle, there to listen to you and help you empower yourself to find the best way forward for you.
Originally from California, I trained in Belfast Northern Ireland at Queen's University Belfast. While qualified in the Person Centred Approach, I do use an integrative approach, or a mix from various counselling approaches. to best suit the situation.
I have extensive experience working with children, young people, FE and university students, international residents, adults, couples, short term/time limited counselling and EAP work.
As I feel the relationship between the counsellor and client is of the utmost importance, I do not charge for the first session, thus giving both parties the chance to see if they can work together or, if not, to refer onwards.
