I am now offering counselling sessions face to face and online via Zoom.
I currently have some available slots on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Friday mornings. These can change so please feel free to contact me either via email, text message or call me and I will try to accommodate you if possible.
If I am unable to answer your call straight away, please leave me a voicemail message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling anxious, depressed, lost, lonely, or disconnected from others? Have you lost a loved one and are feeling overwhelmed with grief? Maybe you’re experiencing unhelpful thoughts around “not being good enough” or “feeling unable to cope”? Or are using work, shopping, exercise, food, drugs and/or alcohol as a way of coping? If any of these resonate with you, you are not alone. I can offer you a warm, empathic, safe space where you can feel comfortable to talk to me about anything, whether it is your current situation that is troubling you or something that happened to you in your past.
The decision to seek counselling can be a daunting one. It takes a lot of courage to take that first step, and it’s important to choose the right counsellor for you. Counselling gives you the time and space to gain insight, increase your self-esteem, feel empowered to move towards a more fulfilling way of life, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I am a humanistic integrative counsellor, this means that I draw on different counselling approaches and techniques. I work in a more relational and holistic way so that each session is tailored to your individual needs. During our time together, we will explore and make sense of, your thoughts and feelings around the issues and relationships that you are struggling with, at a pace that feels right for you.
My first session
Our first session will give us the opportunity to get to know each other, and for you to tell me what you would like to focus on during our time together. We can then both get a sense of whether continuing sessions are likely to be helpful. If we decide to continue, we will then go though my therapeutic contract and agree a framework for our sessions together. This may initially be for a fixed number of sessions, or you may prefer to start counselling on an ongoing basis without a fixed time limit.
