About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can be a nerve-racking experience, you are likely to have questions such as "Is this going to work?", "Is this person going to judge me?". All questions are completely valid. I will ensure we have space and can discuss these in our first initial session.

My way of working is integrative which means that I place our relationship at the centre of our work together and also draw from other models.

It is important that you feel you are in a safe environment of support within a non judgemental space. The pace we work at will be up to you and you can feel free to choose to bring whatever is on your mind, or whatever changes you want to make in your life.

I have a particular interest in working with people who have experienced trauma and abuse and have specialised in this area to provide a safe space of support during difficulties and challenges.

I have also worked within a GP practice and have experience helping people with suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, anxiety and depression.

Practice description

It is important that whilst searching for a therapist you find someone you can trust and be open with. It can be daunting the idea of opening up to someone and so it is important to take your time in choosing someone who you feel comfortable and safe with.

I will ensure you are provided with a safe space and pace to talk in. I will not judge and am understanding of the modern pressures and stresses of everyday life and how that can often lead to feelings of being overwhelmed.
