About me and my therapy practice
I trained at the University of Brighton as a Psychodynamic Counsellor and gained an MSc in Psychotherapy. I am a registered member of the BACP and an Associate of Brighton Counselling Collective (BCC). As well as working with BCC in Hove, I also work privately in Guildford and other parts of Surrey.
I work with clients who are facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, procrastination, attachment difficulties, bereavement, loss, social anxiety, stress and eating disorders.
The psychodynamic approach involves exploring patterns of behaviour that have been developed as a result of past experiences, often from childhood. Through gaining an understanding of these patterns, and the defences we construct, we can begin to grow emotionally, developing more fulfilling relationships and a greater sense of mental wellbeing. In addition to the psychodynamic approach, I also employ techniques drawn from family therapy and CBT.
Once you have contacted me, I will arrange an introductory session in which we discuss the challenges you are currently facing and whether my approach seems right for you. I offer short-term or open-ended counselling on a weekly basis. Sessions last 50 minutes. Fee Per session £45 - Adults (Students - £30) Location: Guildford, Surrey or Hove, Sussex.
