About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor. My background is in Nursing, this experience has shaped my ability to develop strong and trusting therapeutic relationships with my clients based on compassion and empathy. I have experience of working with a broad range of issues with clients aged from teens onwards. I work in an integrative way, which means that I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual. I work gently and collaboratively, providing a safe and supportive space to explore the difficulties you are experiencing in the hope of moving towards a greater sense of calm. I offer short or longer term counselling, so you can decide on the length of therapy. I work face to face and online or by telephone.
In addition to my private practice I am currently working with two counselling charities, one which supports perinatal women and one which supports 10 - 25 year olds.
I have a special interest in supporting young people with their mental health and I have an additional qualification in counselling young people.
I have a special interest all aspects of perinatal therapy including abortion, fertility/conception struggles, pregnancy, miscarriage, birth trauma, stillbirth / loss, postnatal depression and postnatal support.

My first session
The first session provides a foundation for future sessions. It is also an opportunity for us to get a sense of whether it feels right for us to work together as it's important for you to feel comfortable when embarking on therapy. In this session, I will ask you questions about what you’re struggling with and what brings you to counselling, it will also be helpful for me to gain some insight into your past. Together we will look at what you would like to focus on and gain from the counselling.
If you would like more information please do get in touch.
