About me and my therapy practice
The thing I love most about counselling is offering people a space where they can be fully themselves and seeing how people transform when given this opportunity.
I began my journey as a counsellor as a volunteer for a local agency supporting clients with a range of issues. I witnessed clients regaining their power as they felt accepted and started the process of trusting themselves again.
My approach is person-centred, which means that I respect the ability within all of us to grow and develop to be who we truly are, given the correct growth conditions for us to achieve this.
This requires a unique type of relationship and an authentic and transparent way of communicating as a basis for self-exploration.
Once you feel truly heard and accepted you can then move freely in your experience. Emotions come to the surface, new understanding emerges and with this movement comes change, self-acceptance and a deeper self-knowledge that provides you with more resilience to live how you truly want, beyond the expectations of others.
