About me and my therapy practice

Need some space to talk? Maybe I can help. I’m Nikki, an experienced, compassionate, down to earth Humanistic Counsellor working with adults 18+.

I have worked in different settings in the past including the NHS, charities and a sixth form college. I work with wide variety of client issues but because we are all different, please do get in touch with me to discuss what is troubling you.

I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone consultation where you can get an idea of what it would be like to work with me and I can check I am the right person to help you.

Particular areas I work with are depression and low mood; anxiety, low self-esteem and lack of confidence, the “I don’t know what’s wrong - I should be happy but I’m not” feeling; abuse - domestic, sexual, rape (male and female) and sexual violence; pre-trial therapy, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse; bullying; life changes and transitions including divorce, relationship breakdown, loss, bereavement, life changing illness; boarding school/ cared for childhood experiences; trauma; counselling students.

I work from comfortable rooms in both central Exeter and Lyme Regis in West Dorset.

I believe counselling is an investment and that the relationship we have with ourselves is the most important. It takes commitment and work but I have seen counselling change lives. I can’t promise that the journey will always be easy but I will be with you on that journey to support you and ensure your emotional safety. I am gentle and compassionate but I will challenge my clients if I think it is therapeutically necessary. I hope you decide to take the first step and get in touch.
