I can offer face to face, or Walk and Talk Outdoor therapy in Rickmansworth (WD3) near Watford, Hertfordshire. My location is within easy reach of Rickmansworth station, and the M25. It is on the Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire border and also convenient for those in Ruislip, Pinner, Northwood, Watford, Denham, Uxbridge, Chalfont, Sarratt, Amersham and St Albans.
I can offer telephone and online sessions for those in London and further afield.
Having had BACP approved training for online and telephone counselling, I'm skilled and experienced in providing live video-based and telephone counselling sessions.
Fortunately, successful therapy can be delivered remotely and I have been working in this way for some time so you can be in the comfort and safety of your own home without the need to travel. Many people find online or remote counselling therapy useful and empowering as they can feel safe and more in control by being in their own physical space. It also allows much more flexibility in booking days and times to support your needs, especially if you are limited with time and are confined at home.
About me and my therapy practice
It is no fun feeling down and struggling all the time, not knowing which way to turn. I can help you explore and work through your problems so you can feel happier moving forward. Sometimes its helpful to discuss the problems with a professional therapist who can be non-judgemental, confidential, empathic and supportive.
I am a fully qualified, professional therapist and a registered member of the BACP. This means I have undertaken extensive training in counselling and have accumulated many years of experience in client work. In addition, I hold myself to professional codes of ethics and guidance set by them, thereby assuring I meet or exceed their recommended quality standards and ensuring that I am always working to promote my client's well-being.
For many years I have been a therapist working and engaging with a wide range of people from all walks of life helping and supporting them. I work with adults and young people (age 18+), including university students. I offer both short (6-12sessions) and longer-term therapy to individuals.
I have experience in helping clients struggling with Trauma, including PTSD, Stress, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Abuse, Anger management, Feelings of sadness, loneliness and isolation, Depression, Bereavement, Low self esteem and confidence, Relationships, Bullying.
Practice description
I offer a respectful, compassionate and confidential environment to enable you to feel safe enough to talk freely, openly and in confidence. With me you can express your feelings without fear of judgement. Having the opportunity to talk things through in a warm safe environment allows free exploration of thoughts and feelings. This also helps you to focus and gain a better understanding of why you're experiencing difficulties.
By being in tune with how you are feeling and by understanding your experiences, I will support you so that you can focus and gain some clarity. When we make the connections to the root of difficult patterns of thoughts and behaviours, we begin to see a way forward and realise how we can facilitate change, and work towards a growing sense of inner peace and contentment.
I can help uncover your strengths and assist you in learning new skills that will allow you to deal with your struggles and cope better with the challenges that arise in life.
My way of working is gentle but sufficiently challenging to help you grow and ensuring that I work at a pace that suits you.
If this is something that you feel you would like to try then contact me to discuss how I can help.
My first session
As way of an introduction I offer a free 15 minutes initial telephone consultation. I invite you to arrange this by getting in touch.
The initial conversation can help with the process of deciding if we feel able to work together and for us to explore how best I can support you. This is also a good opportunity for you to get a sense of me, ask any questions you may have and if you wish to continue, we can discuss this too. There will be no obligation for you to enter into therapy and you will not be pressured. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose to work with.
