I normally offer therapy in person at Gerrards Cross SL9, Rickmansworth WD3 and in Central London, Southwark SE1, a short walk from Waterloo and Lambeth North station. However, I can only provide counselling in person/face to face as walk and talk therapy in and around WD3. For other locations, in person therapy is temporarily on hold due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). I'm offering sessions by telephone or online via video meetings. Fortunately, successful therapy can be delivered remotely and I have been trained for online work and working in this way for some time so you can be in the comfort and safety of your own home without the need to travel. Many people find online or remote counselling therapy useful and empowering as they can feel safe and more in control by being in their own physical space. It also allows much more flexibility in booking days and times to support your needs, especially if you are confined at home.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered Counsellor/psychotherapist. I work with adults and young people, ages 16 - 25, including university students. I am also a registered Anxiety UK therapist. As a therapist I work and engage with a wide range of people from all walks of life helping and supporting you with anxiety & panic disorders, depression, low self esteem, stress, loneliness, trauma; or trying to gain a sense of self acceptance (‘I’m okay as I am’). I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental, empathic and warm confidential environment to enable you to feel safe enough to self-explore. With me, you can be your true self and express issues that you might not feel comfortable doing so elsewhere.

There is always space to just talk. Sometimes life just presents us all with experiences we need to talk about. There are issues you might want to explore or maybe you’re not quite sure how an event may have impacted your life and the people around you. How you feel. What you think. How you act.

The space I provide for you to explore your thoughts and feelings will always be confidential, understanding, compassionate and empathic. If this is something that you feel you would like to try then please contact me to discuss how I can help.

Practice description

My approach is not to offer advice or to diagnose you. I work with you to gain a better understanding of the ways suited to you, to create positive changes. We explore the difficulties you have and work towards resolving any issues. This involves working alongside you and supporting you. Helping you to put in the required time and effort towards self-exploration and emotional improvements. There are no ‘quick fixes’. But it also isn’t meant to be an on-going life-long quest for personal happiness. No one can ever achieve ‘perfect’ but good-enough is a pretty good place to get to.

I use the person-centred approach as a basis of my counselling practice, combined with Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other approaches to suit your needs. Don’t worry if these models and approaches mean nothing to you. I can work creatively using materials, ensuring that my approach is flexible and tailored to your individual needs. This is based on the idea that each person is an individual and unique so one type of therapy doesn't fit everyone.

We believe in what research shows… that the relationship with your therapist is more important than the method used. Where there is trust and understanding between us, a lot of good work can be done.

During the COVID-19 pandemic I can offer you sessions via telephone, Zoom, or walk and talk. To support you during the coronavirus pandemic, I am offering a reduced rate for some day time appointments to make my services more accessible.  I will revert back to face to face contracting sessions when the pandemic has passed and it is deemed safe for both my clients and myself.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental, empathic and warm confidential environment to enable you to feel safe enough to self-explore. With me, you can be your true self and express issues that you might not feel comfortable doing so anywhere else.

Believing that you are the only expert in yourself, my aim is to support and empower you to make changes that you feel are suited to you. I will ensure that you feel sessions maintain direction and focus, empowering you to review your progress regularly, always holding your autonomy in mind. My way of working is gentle but sufficiently challenging to help you grow and ensuring that I work at a pace that suits you.

I am the counsellor people choose when they need help with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, struggles due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Health related issues, Loss & bereavement, major life changes and Personal development.

Practice description

The focus of this profile is to introduce how I practice as a Walk & Talk therapist in WD3 area. Please visit my main profile if you are not seeking this approach to counselling.

Walk and Talk Therapy, also known as outdoor therapy is a form of counselling/psychotherapy where confidential sessions take place outside with you the client and myself walking and talking side by side during your therapy session, rather than being enclosed in a indoor space. The pace is set by you and I match your pace. If you wish to pause or sit you are free to do so.

Objective of Walk and Talk is for us to have a counselling session. Walking in a natural environment includes advantages to physical health and provides an additional therapeutic context making it easier for clients to relax, stop ruminating, release physical tension, while processing experiences in a different way. It has been shown to lower the levels of anxiety, stress and depression in addition to enhancing a sense of wellbeing.

I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and same rules of confidentiality as in face to face counselling sessions.
