About me and my therapy practice
If you are experiencing anxiety and depression or maybe you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, together can explore this and find an improved way forward.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental, empathic and warm confidential environment to enable you to feel safe enough to self-explore. With me, you can be your true self and express issues that you might not feel comfortable doing so anywhere else.
Believing that you are the only expert in yourself, my aim is to support and empower you to make changes that you feel are suited to you. I will ensure that you feel sessions maintain direction and focus, empowering you to review your progress regularly, always holding your autonomy in mind. My way of working is gentle but sufficiently challenging to help you grow and ensuring that I work at a pace that suits you.
I am the counsellor people choose when they need help with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, struggles due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Health related issues, Loss & bereavement, major life changes, Personal development and student life.
I use the person-centred approach as a basis of my counselling practice and bring in a wide range of therapies including CBT, Transactional Analysis and and I can work creatively using materials, ensuring that my approach is flexible and tailored to the needs of each individual. This is based on the idea that each person is an individual and unique so one type of therapy doesn't fit everyone.
My varied life experiences, accompanied by the experience of working with clients presenting a wide variety of mental health difficulties, informs my practice.
I normally offer face to face counselling therapy in Gerrards Cross, Rickmansworth and in Central London, Southwark SE1, close to Waterloo and Lambeth North station. However, during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and lockdown, I'm offering only online sessions by telephone or video meetings. Fortunately, successful therapy can be delivered remotely and I have been working in this way for some time so you can be in the comfort and safety of your own home without the need to travel. Many people find online or remote counselling therapy useful and empowering as they can feel safe and more in control by being in their own physical space. It also allows much more flexibility in booking days and times to support your needs, especially if you are confined at home.
