About me and my therapy practice
I find it important to create a safe space where clients feel they can talk freely, be themselves and explore difficult thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. It may feel daunting to talk to someone about personal struggles. My aim is to listening empathically and explore issues that need processing in a gentle but collaborative way. My therapeutic approach draws on the well-established humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT schools of therapy which means I tailor each therapy to the unique needs of each client.
Practice description
Drawing on my life and work experience in the charitable sector, I understand how trauma, loss or challenging circumstances can affect an individual’s way of coping with life. Something may have happened in the past or might be happening at this very moment, that feels overwhelming. There might be a feeling of being weighed down, stuck or trapped. Whatever is experienced, I aim to enable my clients to identify and process these difficult experiences whilst supporting them in realising a greater understanding of themselves, discovering a greater sense of agency within their lives.
I work as a private counsellor and psychotherapist in Knightsbridge, Esher as well as at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. I graduated with an MA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of St Andrews and qualified with an MA an Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton. I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) as well as the British Association for Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP). I have previously worked for the NHS and other therapy providers across Surrey and London.

About me and my therapy practice
I find it important to create safe space where clients feel they can talk freely be themselves and explore difficult thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I understand that talking about personal struggles can be daunting, so I approach therapy by listening empathically and exploring issues that clients want to address, in a gentle but collaborative way.
My therapeutic approach specialises in drawing from the well-established humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural schools of therapy. This allows me to meet the unique needs of each client and to support clients in developing self-awareness, self-compassion and a greater sense of empowerment in their daily lives.
Practice description
I welcome working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, orientation and abilities. My clients come from all walks of life seeking support for anxiety, depression, self-esteem or other difficulties in their current life. Some face life events, transitions, daunting medical conditions or losses which they want to work through. Some feel weighed down, stuck or trapped. Others, debilitating fear or shame that they wish to overcome.
Drawing on my life and work experience, I understand how trauma, challenging circumstances and relationships can affect an individual's way of coping with life and their sense of being in the world. Whatever is experienced, I aim to listen, engage and support clients in identifying and working through their difficult experiences. I sometimes suggest exercises to deepen self-knowledge and widen perspective, or offer techniques to build resilience and support the regulation of distressing emotions.
In recent years, I have worked with attachment and separation issues as well as identity, difference and belonging concerns. I have also extended my practice to supporting clients with ADD/ ADHD diagnoses, or clients generally struggling with executive functioning, planning and procrastination.
