About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes we all need an extra bit of space, or time, just for us. A time to place all the pieces of the puzzle of our lives.
As your Counsellor, I will be there to try to help you solve parts of your puzzle. Counselling can provide the time and space to look at whatever you feel needs some attention, whether that be surrounding family, relationships, motivation, low mood, stress, anxiety, self-confidence, sexuality, gender, work, college, loss, bereavement or any other aspect that you would like to explore.
Currently providing online sessions. I may have concessionary slots available, please ask.
Practice description
I practice humanistic therapy, which simply means I work in a person-centered way, keeping you in the forefront of all the work we do together - no one knows you and your struggles more than you! I will treat you with respect, by listening, kindly and without criticism or judgement – offering gentle support from one person to another.
We will work collaboratively, as a team, to focus on what you would like to achieve. This can be short-term or open-ended, depending on your wishes.
My goal is to accompany you on your journey through any challenges. Hopefully together we can empower you to change what you want to change, grow through your struggles and start to move forward to where you want to be in your life.
I work inclusively and welcome a diverse people from all walks of life and I am proud to be an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
I work ethically and with integrity within the BACP guidelines and ethical framework. All confidential information is stored within GDPR regulations.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute 'getting to know you' session so we can decide how to work best together, or if someone else might be a better fit. One important aspect in counselling is the relationship forged between us, and so it is beneficial to introduce ourselves to each other prior to commencing sessions. It also allows me to gather some basic details.
