About me and my therapy practice
I work as an Integrative counsellor and supervisor in the Denbighshire area. I can provide a safe and regular space to work in partnership with you to explore, understand and work through difficulties. My aim is to help you find your own insight into problems, thoughts and feelings you are experiencing in a nonjudgemental and confidential environment. I am an accredited, registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and have 20 years' experience working in Primary Care (GP surgeries) and College counselling settings. I have been a lecturer in counselling since 2000, training students in a range of counselling qualifications. I use an assimilative integrative approach to my work, both as a counsellor and supervisor, which enables me to be flexible to both the needs of my clients and supervisees. I work within the person centred approach using strategies from a spectrum of therapeutic approaches e.g. CBT, Gestalt, NLP, Solution Focused Brief Therapy etc
In the first sessions we work together to assess the problems that you want to deal with and together develop some goals which you would like to achieve by developing a treatment plan. I can help you learn new skills and coping strategies that you can utilise not only in the current situation but that you can adapt to other situations and problems areas in your life.

I use an assimilative integrative approach to my work, both as a counsellor and supervisor, which enables me to be flexible to both the needs of my clients and supervisees. I work within the person centred approach using strategies from a spectrum of therapeutic approaches e.g. CBT, Gestalt, NLP, Solution Focused Brief Therapy etc. I can supervise person centred work or can use an integrative approach.
