About me and my therapy practice

I am a BACP registered Integrative Psychosynthesis counsellor. I integrate  arts-based methods and emotional competence tools into the talking therapy (counselling). I have a special interest in the creative process, and where appropriate, can work with the body, dreams and the imagination.

I offer a warm, safe, confidential space, tailored to your needs, to support you to explore and reflect on your feelings and experiences.

Most of us need some additional support at some time in our lives.  Counselling can help you to feel listened to, understood and accepted you as you are, become more aware of how past experiences can impact your life, and support you in times of transition and change.

I believe that there is a strong connection between psychological distress and creativity.  I'm passionate about working creatively to help you to find out more about who you are, build your skills and resources, increase your resilience and realise your abilities and potential. Using creative and arts- based methods such as image and sound making, movement, creative writing and journaling, I can help to facilitate ways for you to connect more deeply with your own creative process and manifest your ideas.

I integrate emotional competence skills in the way that I work. These can support personal growth by helping you to regulate your emotions, manage thoughts, moods and behaviors, identify negative belief patterns, manage your time and identify and work towards your aspirations and goals.

Counselling can be challenging at times, but it can also be light-hearted and humorous, with opportunities for creative self-expression, growth, healing and change.

I'm fully qualified, insured and DBS checked.
