About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Barbara Mackie MA, I am a fully qualified psychotherapist, I work with organisations, as well as working within my own private practice. I offer counselling for individuals and couples aged 18+. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.I am a fully qualified Person-Centred counsellor, DIP in Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), Couple counselling CERT.

After gaining a BA (Hons) in Counselling, I gained a Master’s Degree at Leeds University studying Psychological Therapies. I have gained many experiences working alongside a service supporting clients who have experienced; domestic abuse, sexual violence, rape and serious sexual offences. Alongside my own private practice. I worked as a voluntary counsellor for Open Door. Which is a unique facility within the heart of Grimsby.
