About me and my therapy practice
CORONAVIRUS AND ONLINE SESSIONS - In response to the present pandemic, I am offering brief online stress management and resilience courses of 3-4 sessions at a reduced rate. Please email to find out further details.
Normally based in the City and Central London, I am currently offering online therapy and EMDR which I and my clients find it as effective as - and in some cases more comfortable than - face to face work. I'd be happy to arrange a taster session so you can see how it feels to work remotely.
WHAT I OFFER
We all experience emotional difficulties or distress during our lives: stress, anxiety, depression, loss, feeling worthless, empty, uncertain or overwhelmed, particularly during these uncertain times. Sometimes these difficulties can be hard to deal with alone or with the help of friends or family. Counselling with me is not giving advice or me listening in silence. It is about actively working together to enable you to explore your thoughts and feelings and gain valuable new perspectives about yourself and your situation. It is about helping you to resolve your difficulties yourself, find new ways of coping or give you a greater sense of control and choice in your life.
Everyone is different and your needs will be unique so I draw on a range of approaches to provide the right support for you. In the first consultation we can discuss any questions you might have and decide if it feels right for you - the 'feel right' factor is important. I am a registered provider with major insurance companies. Please ask for further details.
I'm also a qualified EMDR therapist. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the NICE recommended treatments for PTSD and trauma. Research shows it is also effective with issues, such as anxiety, depression, phobias, low self-esteem, complex grief and even pain management
