About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced and qualified Psychotherapist. I work with all forms of depression and anxiety including GAD (generalised anxiety disorder), OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and BDD (body dysmorphic disorder), panic attacks, panic disorder, low self esteem and low self confidence. I also work with clients with relationship concerns in addition to Couples Therapy.
Due to my Health Psychology training I specialise in working with Health Anxiety which currently is a concern for many people due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
My main therapeutic approach is Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) a form of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) but which is less prescriptive. This approach enables me to tailor the therapy to each clients individual needs. I also work with Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) which is highly effective when a client is struggling with any form of guilt or shame. I also incorporate hypnotherapy into my work.
