About me and my therapy practice
I am Deborah, a qualified counsellor located in Chippenham, Wiltshire, where together we can explore your concerns and difficulties in a secure, confidential, yet comfortable environment from my counselling room located in my home. Working from home enables me to provide flexible session times with both day and evening appointments available.
As your counsellor I am non judgemental and will listen to you with empathy and so you can work through any issues you bring. Sessions offer a chance for you to be yourself and gives you time to focus on who you are, something that is not often possible in the business of daily life. My role is to support you in finding your own solutions on your personal journey of discovery and working with you I will provide support whilst you find a way forward.
As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling Practitioners (BACP) I follow their guidelines to ensuring that I provide an ethical and safe service. Following a holistic, person-centred approach you are the centre of all the work we will do together.
Evexia (Ευεξία) is the state of being in good health, especially as an actively pursued goal: Wellness!
Evexia Counselling is about helping you on the path to Wellness through counselling that draws on both the theories and practice of the leaders in this field as well as our own personal experience.
I normally offer home visits for those who are unable to get to me due to mobility or mental health issues and live within a 10-mile radius of Chippenham. However, at this difficult time, I am able to offer telephone or video conferencing. I am qualified to work with adults of any age offering a completely confidential service and certified to provide telephone or video counselling.
I am located close to the Swindon & Wiltshire History Centre, 5 minutes’ walk from Chippenham Train Station, and 10 minutes’ walk from the Town Centre, ensuring easy access to all who wish to access the service.
My first session
Our first session together is at a reduced rate of £25.00 and will last for 50 minutes. During this session we would discuss your aims and expectations of counselling, allowing us to start the process of developing a therapeutic relationship, and also to explore whether we believe we could work together successfully in addressing the issues you wish to bring.
The session would also provide the opportunity to bring any questions you may have concerning counselling; how it works and the processes involved. As well as more practical issues such as the contract between ourselves, payment methods, confidentiality, and boundaries.
