About me and my therapy practice
By working together, counselling can help us to explore and make sense of difficult feelings and experiences. I offer a safe, confidential space where you can gain a clearer understanding of yourself and make a difference to how you feel.
As an integrative counsellor, I am interested in your life story and experiences but also in how we relate to each other, noticing what happens between us in order to better understand your relationships with others. Better understanding of ourselves gives us more choice in how we respond to others and events, rather than being driven by old patterns of behaviour which may be unhelpful.
I am a registered member of BACP. I abide by the BACP guidelines for ethical and professional conduct. My work is fully insured and supervised by an experienced BACP registered psychotherapist.
How does it work?
You can contact me initially by phone or email to arrange an initial consultation during which we can explore what brings you to therapy and I can answer any questions you might have. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I might be the right person for you to work with. Subsequent sessions usually take place once a week at the same time for 50 minutes.
