About me and my therapy practice

I am an integratively trained counsellor and registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have experience of working with adults with a wide variety of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, work and relationship/family stress, bereavement, self-harm, addiction, trauma, abuse, chronic pain and illness. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds.

I believe that by working together, counselling can help us to explore and make sense of difficult feelings and experiences. I offer a safe, confidential space where clients can gain a clearer understanding of themselves and make a difference to how they feel.

Practice description

Clients may contact me initially preferably by email to arrange an initial consultation during which we can explore what brings you to therapy and I can answer any questions you may have. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I might be the right person for you to work with.

My first session

During a first session, you will get an idea of what a session is like; you can tell me what you might be hoping for from therapy and I can tell you how I work. At the end of the session, I will suggest you take a couple of days to reflect on the session and decide whether you would like to continue.
