About me and my therapy practice

Is it time you invested in you? Without judgments or 'techniques', person-centred counselling is a journey we take together. Led by you and all about you. I believe clients know where the pain is and with empathy I seek to understand what it feels like to be in your shoes, helping you make sense of how your past can still impact on the here and now.

They say it's good to talk, and person-centred counselling is your chance to talk and express feelings in confidence about your troubles, your anxieties and fears as well as your hopes for the future. Person-centred counselling is a two way relationship. I believe given the right conditions of trust, compassion, understanding and time, positive personal change is possible.

Practice description

As a Registered Member of the BACP, I hold a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am qualified to offer person-centred counselling sessions to private clients alongside other work supporting adults who have survived domestic violence, childhood physical & sexual abuse. An area of counselling I am passionate about and also mentor and support the development of trainee counsellors.

At the start of 2021 government restrictions meant i made a decision to put face to face counselling sessions in Didsbury, Manchester on hold for the safety of all.

I am currently working with, and offering private clients, the choice of secure Zoom video sessions or telephone sessions.

Sessions are an hour in length and in most cases occur weekly.

Privacy is important during these times of remote counselling and I work from a location where I will not be interrupted and able to offer you privacy and confidentiality. Please consider your ability to access a private space if you are considering remote video or telephone counselling.

My first session

I would like to hear from you to answer your questions and explore if person-centred counselling feels right to you. I don't charge anything for our first session. It's more of a chance to get to know a bit more about each other and how the counselling process may work for you.

Every one of us is unique and you will have individual goals for what you would want to get out of counselling. Let's put some time aside to consider the problems you are currently facing and person-centred counselling with me could help you move forwards in your life.
