About me and my therapy practice
"In the context of fear and vulnerability, there is often very little in between, because when we are uncertain and afraid our default is self-protection." this quote by Brene Brown sums up a lot of how were are feeling at this current time and we all need support.
Making the decision to have counselling can be unnerving at first. There are so many different approaches and ways of working, so finding the right therapist can be difficult. I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important thing. I work cooperatively with clients to assist them in finding their own paths to personal development and positive change.
It can be hard to grapple with our problems alone and even harder when we are forced to be alone. If you feel that you are struggling at the moment please feel free to contact me.

About me and my therapy practice
Working Together.
I offer a supportive space to enable you to reflect on your work with your clients, who may include children and young as well as adults. The aim is to develop a colloborative working alliance to enable you to explore your thoughts, feelings, interventions, and experiences around your client work without judgement. As a result the outcomes to '...improve the quality of your work, transform client relationships, continously develop yourself and your practice' (Hawkins & Shohet) would hopefully be our joint endeavour.
I am a humanistic practitioner and in supervision I take an interest in not only devloping self-awareness and ones internal supervisior but also in encouraging and supporting the practice of self-care. I uses the CLEAR model as well as the Seven Eyed model of supervision; I also work within the guidelines of the BACP Ethical Framework and Guidance for Good Practice. I am committed to anti-discriminatory practices, including matters of race and inequality.
