About me and my therapy practice
I am a calm, warm and approachable person, who values and respects every person as an individual. I provide a safe, empathic and confidential space, free of judgement.
I have a non-directive, person-centred approach, but also integrate aspects of other counselling theories and creative exercises. My approach values the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client – I believe this is at the heart of the counselling process.
Counselling can look different for everyone and can bring up a multitude of emotions – some more challenging or unexpected than others. I will be there with you to help you navigate this important but potentially challenging process. I will support you to develop a stronger sense of self and a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I will endeavour to step inside your shoes and to see the world from your perspective. I aim not to provide advice or answers, but to work with and alongside you, on your personal journey of healing and self-discovery.
My first session
I offer thirty minute introductory session, costing £20. This gives us an opportunity to meet and ask questions, discuss your needs, and to see if I am the right therapist for you.
If you would like to continue, we can arrange a regular day and time to meet. Sessions are usually weekly, but we can discuss other options if you feel this may not work for you.
If you are interested in booking an initial session, please get in touch via text or email - I aim to respond within 48 hours. We can arrange a short phone call and get an initial session booked in.
