About me and my therapy practice
Hi. My name is Tony and I am a fully qualified counsellor (Level 5 Diploma in counselling skills), offering short term (6 - 12 sessions) and longer term one-to-one counselling. As a member of the BACP, I adhere strictly to their code of ethics and practice to the highest ethical standards. I offer my clients a safe and non-judgemental environment, in which they are helped to understand and overcome recurring problems or helped to manage their emotions and anxieties during times of challenge. People come to counselling for many different reasons, so my approach is always focused uniquely on each individual client.
As an Integrative counsellor, I adopt aspects of the Psychodynamic and Humanistic approach in my practice. I maintain the importance of a solid working alliance between myself and clients which include a trusting confident bond and goals to enable my client to deal with issues of change or acceptance and to improve their emotional health. I use aspects of a number of styles of counselling to help clients understand and subsequently resolve their problems and achieve their goals including Existential, Humanistic, Jungian, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis. I offer counselling in my home, by video call or by voice call.
