In my private practice, I work on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday between 09:00 and 20:00 and Thursdays from 09:00 until 16:00.
I have a small waiting list for appointments after 16:00 but there is usually immediate availability during working hours.
About me and my therapy practice
Life is difficult sometimes and managing thoughts, feelings, or situations without support can be overwhelming. I believe that establishing a safe, trusting, no blame and respectful relationship is vital to successful counselling.
I specialize in anxiety (including OCD, Covert OCD sometimes called "Pure O" and intrusive thoughts) and bereavement and loss issues. I also support adults and young people aged 13+ with a wide range of issues such as life changes, depression, low self-esteem, loss of identity, and anger. Might this be you?
I offer our first session free and without obligation. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, to discuss what it is that has brought you to counselling, why now and what you are hoping to achieve. You can ask any questions you might have and it allows me to be clear on how I work and how we might move forward together. I believe that good therapy is a collaborative experience and the relationship between us must be trusting. I am respectful and mindful of the uniqueness of every individual and you are the expert in your life and feelings. My approach uses a blend of theories and methods to suit you and your situation. I work with empathy, honesty, kindness, humility, and creativity when appropriate.

I work from a discrete, safe, and comfortable room in my home near Weybridge railway station.
I offer video sessions by Zoom or telephone-only sessions for those that prefer not to travel.
My first session
I think it is important for you to get the right counsellor. For this reason, I offer a 20 minute free session so that we can get to know each other a little without obligation or cost.
During this session, we will talk about what has prompted you to seek help and why now. I'll talk about my approach and how I think we might work together.
If after this session you would like to continue, then usually we meet weekly (sometimes more often if you are in a lot of distress or sometimes less to suit your circumstances).
I hold Accredited Status with the BACP. I am registered with Vitality Health as a counsellor/psychotherapist.
