About me and my therapy practice
I work with a diverse range of clients and have extensive experience of working with children (10+), young people and adults, offering long and short term face-to-face counselling.
Alongside my private practice, I work in primary and secondary schools in the Buckingham/Milton Keynes area with students and staff experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties.
I can offer a warm and confidential safe space for you to express and work through whatever is causing you difficulties at this time in your life. I strongly believe in collaborative therapy work and building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship that is safe and mutually respectful.
As an integrative practitioner, I am able to utilise a variety of therapeutic techniques that can be tailored for each client, either in the counselling room or outside, including psychotherapeutic, CBT and creative/sand tray and equine-assisted therapies.
Working within the therapeutic model(s) most suited to you as an individual will enable you to express and explore difficult feelings and issues which, in time, will help you recognise unhelpful patterns and find alternative, healthier ways of being.
I hold a Counselling Diploma, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People with the University of Northampton and I am also qualified as an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist (www.leapequine.com)
