About me and my therapy practice
I work with a diverse range of clients and have extensive experience of working with children (10+), young people and adults, offering long and short term face-to-face counselling.
I can offer a warm and confidential safe space for you to express and work through whatever is causing you difficulties at this time in your life.
I strongly believe in collaborative therapy work: building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is often key to successful therapeutic outcomes.
As an integrative practitioner, I am able to utilise a variety of therapeutic techniques, which can be tailored to individual clients, including psychotherapeutic, CBT and creative/sand tray work.
Working within the therapeutic model(s) most suited to you as an individual will enable you to explore difficult feelings and issues which, in time, will help you recognise unhelpful patterns and coping strategies, and find alternative, healthier ways of being.
I hold a Counselling Diploma, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People with the University of Northampton and I am also qualified as an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist (www.leapequine.com)
I am based in the centre of Thame at the Practice (OX9 2DW)
Alongside my private practice I also have over 8 years experience working therapeutically in primary and secondary schools with students and staff.
