About me and my therapy practice
I mainly work with LGBTQ+ clients and those who have always felt ‘different’ in some way. My focus is on working with you to understand why you feel the way you do and what might help.
You may be seeking help because you:
• Experience anxiety and panic attacks or feel taken over by difficult emotions
• Have difficulties standing up for yourself and your needs at work and in your personal life
• Feel like you’re getting in your own way, repeating the same unhelpful patterns and ways of coping which no longer serve you, but seemingly unable to change
• Have a harsh inner critic, find yourself doubting yourself and struggling to make decisions
• Are dealing with the effects of prejudice, discrimination, rejection or other negative experiences
You don’t have to go through this alone, together we can help you bring about the changes you want for a life that’s more fulfilling.
Practice description
Therapy with me centres around compassionately exploring your experiences and story, so you can better know, understand and accept yourself. I support you to recognise and use your existing strengths and to create new and more effective ways to manage your feelings and navigate your life. We will explore patterns in your relationships with yourself and others, how your past may be affecting your present, and what to do about it.
My counselling approach draws from a range of therapy models and aims to create a welcoming space where you feel safe and able to be seen.
My first session
Choosing a therapist can be overwhelming and seeking help takes courage. I’ve been there and I understand. If you are interested in therapy with me please get in touch by e-mail. I am experienced in delivering online therapy and my practice is entirely online. I offer a free 20 minute appointment so you can ask any questions you may have and we can see if we are a good fit.
