About me and my therapy practice
Maybe you've reached a point where you feel like life could be a whole lot better than this? Do you feel that now is the time to make some changes? Would you like to feel more connected? Less anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed? Maybe you've been bereaved and would like to connect and re-engage with the world. Do you need someone to listen to you and really hear you without judgement or criticism. Maybe you are feeling misunderstood and overwhelmed by your feelings. I would like to help you explore your life and feelings, hear and empower you to break the cycles of the past and feel connected to the present.
I am an active listener, my style of therapy is one where I listen and really hear you, validating your feelings and experience. I work with you and believe that we are on this journey together. I gently explore the past with you where it is impacting on the present but this is never forced. I have various techniques to help you work with your issues.
I understand reaching out for therapy can be daunting, but I am here for you. I work hard to make the counselling experience one of compassion, understanding and kindness. The building is in Colchester Town Centre and each room is designed for counselling with your privacy in mind.
My first session
The first few sessions are combined with assessment, providing you with the opportunity to talk about why you would like counselling and for us to get to know each other and decide what would be best for you going forward.
These sessions are charged at the normal session rate.
I have a short assessment questionnaire which I can send to you before our first session or if you prefer we can discuss it in the session together.
