About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor working in East London and online offering short-term and open-ended therapy to adults of all ages.

You might be finding life difficult, feeling anxious, depressed or experiencing a significant life event such as bereavement, divorce or redundancy. You might feel dissatisfied with your life and want to understand yourself better.

Therapy provides you with the opportunity to explore any issues which might be concerning you. I will work with you to explore current and historic life events, feelings, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour. This difficult and often emotionally challenging process will help you to more fully understand yourself, ultimately, allowing you to take greater control and live a life that feels more genuine, connected and meaningful.

Getting Started With Psychotherapy

Beginning the process of psychotherapy can be daunting and confusing. I offer a Free 15 minute phone consultation where we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and what you might hope to gain. I can also answer any questions you may have about the process. Call me on 07753 298053 or send an email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Practice description

My approach is psychodynamic: the psychodynamic model holds the view that our current difficulties can have origins in earlier times of our lives, particularly in childhood, and that the mind conceals or retains feelings or memories which may be too painful or difficult for the conscious mind to process. This can be the root cause of many of our difficulties.

I will work with you to not only explore your conscious thoughts, feelings and experiences, but also those you may not be fully aware of, but which may be having an impact on your life.

I am experienced in working with a wide range of life issues such as:

Anxiety

Depression

Relational and family difficulties

Low self-esteem
