About me and my therapy practice

I provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment, where we can explore the positive changes required to accept and move on with your life. I can offer help with a wide range of issues, and have experience working with adults, teenagers and children.

Counselling is an effective way of helping you understand and resolve any long or short term personal or emotional issue, preventing you from getting on and enjoying your life.

I use an integrative approach incorporating different theoretical models, tailoring my skills and techniques to meet the individual needs of my client. I believe that counselling facilitates change and personal growth. Together we will explore your patterns of behaviour and core beliefs linked to events in the past. This will lead to a deeper self-awareness, helping you to make small changes to overcome your difficulties, and lead a more fulfilling life.

Whatever your issue, you will be met with understanding, empathy and acceptance.

I have a background in nursing and midwifery, so I have a good understanding of pregnancy and birth related issues, as well as health problems and chronic conditions.

I enjoy working with adults, and also work with young people both privately and in a school setting.

I work within the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) guidelines and ethical framework, tailoring my skills and techniques to meet the individual needs of my client.

I receive regular clinical supervision to support my work, ensuring high standards as well as safe and ethical practice.

To enable you to decide if we can work to together, I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation.

I offer long or short term therapy at flexible times to suit your busy lifestyle!
