About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Tracie and I am a qualified and experienced integrative humanistic counsellor/psychotherapist.
The pandemic has impacted on us all one way or another. Having been forced to live our life under unprecedented conditions has raised our anxiety levels. This brought for some of us unresolved issues from our past to the fore front of our daily life's causing us Anxiety, Depression and Stress.
My way of working as a therapist is to enable you to see your situation more clearly. I do this by working with to gain insight into yourself, situation and relationships.
This can lead to you seeing your problems from different perspective. This process can support you in making different decisions and actions in order to overcome your difficulties.
During the pandemic I discovered how affective online counselling can be. I discovered a whole new range of clients who would normally find it difficult to have face to face counselling. For example, shift workers and those who struggle with online systems like zoom and skype and only had access to a phone. Also, people with disabilities or an illness that limits them leaving their home are just a few.
My commitment and passion to my own ongoing personal growth are essential elements of my practice.
In a addition to this I believe regular professional development is also very important. I regularly work with other therapists and participate in group therapy discussions and workshops enhancing my own practice.
As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to their Ethical Framework. This means that I work within their strict professional guidelines and I'm a fully insured practitioner.
My first session
On request for counselling you can either text message or email me, I will respond by inviting you to a free phone consultation.
During this free Initial Consultation, we can explore how you feel the counselling process would benefit you along with your desired therapeutic outcomes or goals.
This can also be an opportunity for you to ask further questions about the counselling process.
My aim is to create a authentic therapeutic relationship with you, one in which you can feel safe and emotionally held during your most challenging moments.
All counselling sessions will lasts 50 minutes.
