About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes to understand ourselves and our situations better, we need someone else to hear and understand us, to be alongside us on our journey and see the broader view. Therapy is a safe confidential and open space to explore all of who we are. It is a relationship that brings compassionate curiosity to our experience and enables us to harness more of ourselves in our lives and celebrate our uniqueness. We are each an expert on our own lives but sometimes we need support to make sense of it, find our way back, forward or sideways; to become aware of what is and what was.
Gestalt is a German word for shape or pattern and is interested in how we recreate patterns in our lives. Gestalt therapy is a holistic and creative therapy and has many tools that support the process of overcoming trauma and deal with anxiety and depression. I offer short and long term therapy and offer a warm non-judgmental space.
My first session
I know it can be hard to reach out and make the first step. I suggest if you're interested in beginning therapy then feel free to contact me and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Then we can begin by booking an initial session. In the first session we would then explore what has triggered your decision to reach out and what you hope to gain from therapy. Then if you get a sense we are a good fit we would then agree to work for 6 sessions and from there we can work longer term if you need. I have availability and flexibility at present.
