About me and my therapy practice
How my approach will benefit you
I offer individual therapy in a compassionate, supportive and confidential space. We will work together, in partnership, to explore the issues and goals that you have in therapy.
As a Gestalt trained counsellor, my approach is holistic, this means I see you as a whole person who has thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and perceptions and I will support you to become more aware of your own ‘process’ – how you respond to people and situations with a focus on your immediate thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
As we work together, I will share the things I notice with you, supporting your own awareness about how you feel and relate to the work we do and the people in your life. We will explore these different situations; we will look into what is present for you and what may be missing in order to cope, move on and have a more fulfilling life.
For many people therapy helps them to develop a greater understanding of themselves and to form new perspectives. It enables you to improve relationships with others; and yourself; and it can help you to express yourself.
About Gestalt therapy
Gestalt is a humanistic, person-centred therapy. It’s a German word which translates to whole, form or pattern and one of the goals of this approach is to raise awareness of our own patterns in the way we are, not only with other people but with ourselves as well. It sees that people live their lives in relation to other people and that patterns emerge, or develop at a young age, in our relationships. Sometimes, these patterns become fixed ways of being and people can find themselves feeling stuck, holding beliefs about themselves that get in the way of their own happiness.

I am experienced in working with clients both in person and online and I am certified in online and telephone counselling.
I currently offer online therapy. When it is safe to do so I work in central London from a practice based near Farringdon. The consulting room is welcoming, comfortable and accessible.
Inclusion and Diversity
Throughout my career I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds. I am sensitive to the experience of inequality and exclusion and have supported people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds. I have also worked with men in same sex relationships.
