About me and my therapy practice

Thanks for looking at my profile. I offer individual therapy in a compassionate, supportive and confidential space. If you are experiencing loss, anxiety, depression, feel sad or have difficulties in your relationships, I can help support you with what is difficult at the moment.

For many people therapy helps to develop a greater understanding of themselves, to form new perspectives and manage challenges. It enables you to improve relationships with others; and yourself; and it can help you to express yourself.

In exploring relationships, we look at what may support and help you in different situations and how you may have become used to responding to challenges in ways that no longer work for you. Sometimes, our ways of dealing with situations can become fixed ways and we can feel stuck, holding beliefs about ourselves that get in the way of what we want and our happiness.

As we work together, I will share the things I notice with you, supporting your own awareness about how you feel and relate to the work we do and the people in your life. We will explore these different situations; we will look into what is present for you and what may be missing in order to cope, move on and have a more fulfilling life.

I take a holistic approach, which means I work with all parts of your experience; thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and generally how life feels for you. I will also support you to become more aware of your own process – how you respond to people and situations with a focus on your immediate thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I adhere to the BACP code of ethics.
