About me and my therapy practice

I provide a safe place for you to work through things that are on your mind or making you feel unhappy.

My training and experience draws from different theories and techniques that will be tailored to meet your individual needs.

We will work together to develop a safe, open and positive relationship within which you can explore who you are, why this is and how this affects what you feel and do.

Time to express difficult emotions and increase personal insight provides relief and clarity, and this new perspective will reveal choices that can result in real and positive change to the things that matter to you.

I never take for granted how hard it can be to engage with this work, the challenges my clients have faced and the substantial investment they make when returning each week, in the hope of feeling a little more content or having more clarity in their lives.

I take very seriously my commitment to provide you with the very best therapeutic experience. And, as an accredited member of the BACP I practise within a strict code of ethics and maintain a highly professional standard of work.

In addition to private practice, I am a counsellor in a NHS IAPT (Improved Access to Psychological Therapies) Unit. I also worked at the Royal Institute for the Blind.

If you are interested in working with me, please get in touch.

After a brief chat we will meet for an assessment. This is a chance for me to gauge if I am the best person to help you and also for you to see if I am right for you.

We will develop a clear goal and treatment plan, with regular reviews to ensure we remain focused on your priorities.

Counselling can seem mysterious or daunting, especially if this is your first time. Please call if you have any questions about what I do before you make up your mind.

Standard session rates start at £60, rising to £65 for evening slots. I also offer discounts to students and people on a low income.
