About me and my therapy practice
Hello, welcome to JLW Counselling: a place to talk and explore anything that may be concerning you. I offer a safe, confidential, welcoming space where you can feel at ease to share and make sense of whatever is holding you back. Each person's journey differs so I aim to explore it with you, adapting my skills to fit your needs. I believe each of us holds the ability to enhance our lives, sometimes we just need a little help along the way.
I provide support for a wide range of issues including bereavement, addiction, anxiety, depression, loss, and anger to name a few. My professional background consists of working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, working within schools and nurseries, voluntary counselling in a women's refuge plus Bolton Beacon Counselling Service, and currently share responsibility for the mental health wellbeing of staff and students in a busy college.
I would like to invite you to contact me for an informal chat where you can decide if I'm the right fit for you. Counselling is a personal, collaborative experience so it is important to feel comfortable with your chosen therapist. If your situation does not fit into the categories listed above, please do not let that deter you. My door is always open, and I look forward to working with you.
Based in the centre of Ramsbottom.
