About me and my therapy practice
People come to counselling for many reasons. Constant stress and anxiety can make everyday life feel impossible or you may find yourself struggling against recurring depression. It can feel that you are stuck in a repeating pattern with no way out. You may need help making sense of difficult feelings; conflict, relationship difficulties or loss; -and these are only some of the many challenges which can threaten your mental wellbeing. I will help you find a different way of looking at things and gain a clearer understanding of yourself and your relationship with others.
Psychodynamic therapy aims to uncover the impact of early experiences. Fears which were set up early in us may be the basis of current generalised anxiety. Defensive strategies we had developed to protect ourselves may be standing in the way of current relationships and preventing us achieving authentic human connection.
I provide a confidential space where you will feel safe and supported to explore what's troubling you.
