Availability
I have availability on throughout the day on Wednesdays (in Brixton/Herne Hill) and on Fridays (in Peckham). I offer online sessions on both these days too.
About me and my therapy practice
Therapy is a safe space for you to bring any thoughts, feelings or experiences you would like to talk about. I work in a way that is relational, empathic and non-judgmental, offering genuine care for those I work with. I will be fully present with you in the room during the sessions. This involves listening, reflecting back, offering thoughts, and gently challenging where helpful. Together we can make meaning of your experiences, explore hard-to-reach emotions and find ways forwards through difficulties.
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and have worked in mental health and wellbeing roles for the past 11 years. This includes in charities, community counselling, LGBTQ+ therapeutic services, universities, adult mental health services, secondary schools, and support for asylum seekers and refugees.
Practice description
During therapy, we can move at a pace that feels right for you. There may be a range of topics you want to speak about, which might include (but are not limited to): anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship challenges, friendships, LGBTQ+ identity, culture, faith and spirituality, shame, stress, painful experiences, past traumas, difficult emotions and life decisions.
I offer short term counselling (agreed amount of sessions) and long term therapy (open-ended for as long as you feel you need). Sessions can be either in person in Brixton/Herne Hill or Peckham, or online.
My first session
To begin, we can book an introductory 50 minute session. This is offered at the reduced cost of £45, and can be in-person or online.
Here you can share what brings you to therapy, ask any important questions, and decide whether you would like to work together. We would then book weekly sessions for the same time each week.
If you need a slightly different format in order to be able to access therapy, we can discuss what might work best for you.
