Practice description

I offer a specialist service of working with mental health and issues related to spirituality, sensitive to a wide variety of needs. This includes depressison, general anxiety disorder, OCD, personality disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis and hearing voices etc. This may involve addressing the stigma of initial psychiatric assessment and helping to find solutions or develop coping strategies for often ongoing and distressing symptoms.

You may want to explore issues that relate to faith or personal beliefs, whether positive or negative, essential to the meaning and purpose of your life, and personal development and identity.

I provide a safe, non-judgemental and therapeutic environment that will help you to explore the things in life really important to you.

I practice from a comfortable office at home in Heanor, easily accessible to both Derby and Nottingham.

My first session

Once you have booked a appointment, the first session is spent usually making an assessment concerning the issues you are facing. We can then decide how best we can work together, and what your aims or goals for counselling are. Building  regular reviews is helpful and will ensure you receive the right kind of support, and that your needs are being met, whether short or longer term.
