About me and my therapy practice

As a qualified Level 6 Clinical Supervisor and a Level 6 Clinical Supervisor Tutor, I bring a wealth of experience and training to my supervision practice. I utilise a range of clinical supervision models and approaches, drawing from my holistic and integrative background, with a core modality rooted in Humanistic principles. I combine this with an evidence-based approach, ensuring that my work is grounded in research and best practices.

Alongside my Humanistic foundation, I have a Masters in Psychology, I am a certified Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Somatic Practitioner, and I am trained in various other therapeutic modalities including CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, DBT, Psychodynamic, Gestalt. This allows me to offer tailored, flexible supervision to meet the individual needs of the supervisee, encouraging self-reflection and personal growth in a supportive environment.

With extensive experience working with trauma, sexual abuse, childhood trauma and its impacts, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and more, I have supported clients from diverse backgrounds in organisations, charities, and private practice. I work with a broad range of clients , including adults, teens, and adolescents, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit different age groups and presenting concerns.

I believe that supervision is not just about case discussion but is an opportunity for deeper exploration of the supervisee’s own process, emotional well-being, and professional development. Through our work together, I aim to foster a reflective, safe space where supervisees can gain insights into their practice, enhance their therapeutic skills, adhere to ethical practice and improve their ability to support their own clients.

Practice description

Throughout our supervision work, I emphasize the importance of self-awareness, the therapeutic relationship, and ethical practice. I encourage ongoing reflection, critical thinking, and a commitment to self-care to prevent burnout and promote longevity in the profession. By tailoring supervision to each supervisee's needs, I ensure that you receive the support and guidance necessary for your personal and professional growth.

I offer remote supervision sessions via Zoom or telephone, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs. Whether you’re an experienced therapist or in training, my goal is to provide a supportive, reflective environment where you can thrive, grow, and develop as a confident, competent practitioner.

My first session

In our first supervision session, I aim to create a supportive and open space where we can establish a strong foundation for our work together. During this initial session, we’ll focus on building rapport, clarifying your supervision goals, and discussing any immediate challenges you may be facing in your practice.

I will ask you to reflect on your current caseload, your areas of professional development, and any specific areas you’d like to explore or receive guidance on. We will also review any professional concerns you might have, and I’ll ensure that we explore the ethical considerations in your practice. This first session allows me to get to know you as a supervisee, so I can tailor future sessions to best support your needs.

Additionally, I may ask you to complete a brief assessment form or provide background information about your therapeutic approach, experience, and areas of focus. This helps me understand your practice better and ensures our work is as effective as possible.

The first session is an opportunity to discuss our mutual expectations, your learning needs, and the overall structure of our supervision work. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and confident in our working relationship, so this session is also a space for you to ask questions about my approach to supervision.

I aim to foster an environment where you feel heard and supported, encouraging self-reflection and professional growth. This first session sets the tone for a collaborative and productive supervision relationship
