About me and my therapy practice

I see supervision as a dynamic process that nurtures growth, refines skills, and contributes to ethical, safe, and effective practice.

Drawing from my experience as a therapist, I understand firsthand the transformative impact of supervision for myself and my clients. This is where professional development flourishes and where self awareness and understanding grows.

Having a safe space to honestly and openly explore your practice is an essential part of being a therapist. My approach to supervision is grounded in collaboration and respect.

Client work brings forth numerous challenges, and supervision provides the time and space for you to navigate your emotions and reactions that surface during client interactions.

In my role as a supervisor my aim is to offer you guidance and  support on your journey of self-reflection and growth.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor, drawing on person centred, psychodynamic and CBT theories and techniques. I supervise qualified counsellors working with individual adults. I offer supervision online and in person and I am qualified to work with counsellors who offer in person, online, telephone and text sessions.

As a supervisor, I use the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision. This holistic approach explores not only the therapeutic process but also the wider context, relationships, interventions, and personal impact. Together, we can navigate complex cases, using the model to enhance self-reflection and therapeutic skills.

The Seven-Eyed Model places a strong emphasis on self-reflection, encouraging you to explore your own thoughts, feelings, and reactions during client sessions. It helps you understand how broader social, cultural, and organisational elements may influence the therapeutic relationship.

Engaging with the Seven-Eyed Model can be a transformative learning experience. You are encouraged to explore your assumptions, biases, and therapeutic choices, leading to continuous professional development and growth.
