About me and my therapy practice

I am passionate about supporting neurodiverse therapists in their practice or with their professional training.

I believe supervision is the space to breath and feel resourced.  I use the 7-eyed model of supervision in my practice.

We can meet online or face-to-face.  I recommend if you are training that we meet in the modality that you are practicing.

I work in a very person-centred way and will ask your preferred learning style so our supervision sessions can reflect this.

I offer supervision to supervisees based in the UK seeing local clients.

Preferably you will be a member of the BACP.

I am also an eco-therapist so we can meet in nature.

Practice description

I work with supervisees in an open and authentic way, offering warmth, creativity and challenge using ourselves, nature and animals to facilitate our work.

My first session

Our first session will be an informal chat online about what you require from supervision and your past experiences.  Then we will review your qualifications/experience as a therapist and your learning style/needs.  We will also discuss frequency of supervision required.

I will outline how I work and what I can offer as your supervisee.

We will run through the contract, ensuring all personal details are complete and policies are understood.

I do currently have availability for supervisees and clients.

About me and my therapy practice

I provide counselling for the challenges of life that neurotypical and neurodiverse adults, children and young people experience including autistic/ADHD adults, children and young people.  I work sensitively and adapt to the needs of the individual.  Often this involves working with the person and their environment to reduce the distress caused by sensory inputs.

I am passionate about my work and believe most things go back to our childhood attachments and experiences.  By building a strong working alliance coming alongside someone who you can trust, who is warm, compassionate and non-judgemental, we can identify any themes/patterns in relationships to help you have a better sense of self.

I treat each person as an individual, using the most appropriate tools to help you blossom and become the best version of yurself.  I believe in working holistically, with mind, body and soul to align ourselves in an embodied way.

Sometimes, however, our brains are wired differently so I can provide therapy/coaching and teach you self-compassion to help you navigate this.

Practice description

I work with clients in an open, authentic way; offering warmth, creativity and challenge using our own internal compass, nature and animals to facilitate our work.

I offer a directive or non-directive approach depending on your needs.  I like to work creatively as I believe this allows us to connect with our inner child and connect with deeper emotions.  It also allows us to be more present as we work mindfully.  This can involve working in nature, with animals or sitting quietly in my garden therapy room.  I have a variety of sensory objects if sitting feels challenging or we can 'walk and talk'.

My first session

I offer an initial FREE online session to chat informally about your needs and what I can offer.  The first session is more structured as I will assess your psychological wellbeing using diagnostic tools and discuss the presenting issue and your short/long term goals for therapy.  You will also have the opportunity to tell your story.
