I might have 20 plus years of experience of working with clients in all sorts of settings but experience counts for very little if a i cannot fully understand exactly what problem my client is actually facing. It is not unusual that a person might say I have what they describe as anxiety for example. Symptoms of anxiety can present is so many different ways.
There is an art and a skill that takes years for a counsellor to develop so an effective counsellor can create a sense of security to ensure that trust develops between the counsellor and person the counsellor is working with.
Normal Face to face setons are now back in place. I’m A providing a counselling and support services online using Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp and Zoom. Please contact me for further details.
About me and my therapy practice
Trust is the key ingredient to the development of confidential space where someone can feel safe allowing them along with the correct level of support to begin to address whatever needs to addressed in counselling.
Understanding how a person thinks and works is also an important ingredient in the counselling relationship. It is not unusual for me to blend many different approaches together resulting in a very quick transformation and empowering for a my.
Exploring the problem is the beginning of the work and can often take us off in all sorts of directions in order to solve the presenting problem. With the solution always in mind i r might be able to call on a old ways you have coped before in solving situations to form part of new ways to solve the current dilemmas.
Sometimes counselling might need to involve other agencies. If this is the case then i will use my experience in working with a whole host multi agency working.
If counselling support is going to be effective then it makes sense for everyone to reasonable about the outcome counselling can have for a client
sometimes counselling can just be a good tool to help someone cope in a much more effective and resilient way.
I firmly believe that we all can change and are given the right opportunity and the right tools to enable that change.
For change to be sustainable it is important a person leaves counselling with a better understanding of themselves and more importantly leaves counselling with right tools to enable continued self change.
Its not unusual for a client to check in with a counsellor you have previously worked with can be a good thing and a way of staying on top of the hectic lives we all live.
85% of of my work is from referrals or recommendations from past clients. Im a registered provider to most of the major medical insurance companies

My first session
Understanding how a person thinks and works is an important ingredient in the counselling relationship. It is not unusual that when i work with a client i blend the correct processes together resulting in a very quick transformation and empowering for a client.

Exploring the problem is the beginning of the work and can often take the client and counselor off in all sorts of directions in order to solve the presenting problem.
It is the counsellor’s job to look at all aspects of what has caused a person to seek out a counsellor. Often looking at the symptoms in a logical systemic way and see what connects to what – a bit like piecing a jigsaw together.
