About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor with 30+ years' experience as a Counsellor and Personal Coach.
All of us experience difficulties or distress in our lives or relationships at some point. Counselling and/or personal coaching can help you in a variety of ways. You may be struggling with stress, anxiety, low mood, poor self esteem, loss of a key relationship or a major life transition. Sometimes deeper-rooted issues from the past can be triggered by a current situation. From my practice in central Richmond, I provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where we can explore together your circumstances, concerns and needs.
While building a good therapeutic relationship based on empathy, respect and trust, it is YOUR experience and YOUR reality that will be at the heart of our work together. This chance to explore, think things through and gain new perspectives can create greater clarity and help you to see ways forward. You may then make changes to improve the quality of your life. Counselling can also help you to develop new ways of coping and to deal better with those things which are beyond your contol and that you cannot change.
This process will also help you to better understand yourself and your situation and to become more self-aware and self-accepting.
I work in an integrative and client-centred way, which means I draw on a variety of different approaches (including CBT and Mindfulness) to suit each client's particular needs and circumstances.
I can work with you on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period - to help you with issues in your past, present and future. My approach combines depth with practicality.
My fees are: Individual £70
Practice description
As your Counsellor and/or Coach I will:
* Listen to you
* Respect you
* Support you
* Gently and constructively challenge you
* Encourage you
* Help you reflect on your life to develop increased self-awareness and greater self-acceptance
* Share information, ideas and tools to help you with the changes you want to make.
Each session is 50 minutes and it is usual to meet weekly. This frequency can be adjusted according to your needs and preferences.
