About me and my therapy practice
My practice offers a safe confidential, non judgemental space for you to address your trauma,fears, anxieties or hopes.
I specialise in short and long term work for you to explore problems that may be impeding both your psychological well being and in some cases, your physical health.
Having worked for the NHS for over 20 years both in substance misuse and an honorary family therapist for CAMHS this reflects my learning.
I have also been in private practice for 10 years and work closely with clients who have experienced trauma, depression and anxiety.
I see clients for couples work and also family therapy.
I have an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy as a Means to Health
Diploma in Integrative Counselling
Postgraduate Diploma in Family and Couples Psychotherapy
Further training at Oxford Brookes in CBT and Mindfulness.
Practice description
It is important at times of stress that you feel able to experience being supported and facilitated in sharing difficult feelings which impact on relationships with both self and others, whilst working on a way forwards in terms of change.
My approach to therapy is from a psychodynamic, existential and phenomenological perspective by exploring your experience of your world and the impact those experiences have made.
CBT is also an approach informing practice and is effective in exploring change in behaviours/belief systems.
I have specialised in working with clients seen by the NHS in addiction including drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, food and relationships for over 20 years and acknowledge the impact this can have on your life.
I also work with Anxiety, Depression, Low Self Esteem, Domestic Abuse.

My first session
I am currently working via Zoom or by telephone.
An introduction following the initial enquiry from you is provided with a 30 minute free session, which if you wish to proceed, we will then meet for a detailed assessment when issues you would like to address can be identified and we can agree on a way forward in terms of meetings.
