About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Catherine, thank you for viewing my profile page.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2006 and since that time have worked with adult clients with a diverse range of difficulties. I have worked in the NHS, private practice and community counselling organisations. I am experienced and qualified in several different counselling approaches which means that I can draw on my experience to work in a way that is most suited to your needs.
I offer a safe, confidential and non judgemental space to talk about whatever is important to you. I will support you in exploring your difficulties so that you can gain new awareness and can begin to find a way through the problems that are troubling you.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might want to talk about challenges you have faced in the past or difficulties in the here and now, or perhaps about loss or relationship problems. You might want to work out why you are experiencing certain feelings or why you are behaving or reacting in ways that you don't feel comfortable with. Whatever the focus, the way that I work with you will be based in evidence based theory, knowledge and experience, and tailored to your unique individual needs.
I offer sessions via video call (zoom) or telephone. I am very experienced in providing counselling in this way and find it to be effective. Accessing counselling remotely means that you can have the sessions in the comfort of your own home and without any unnecessary travel time or costs.
