About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Kat and i am a person-centred therapist that also offers CBT, EMDR,REWIND, and Hypnotherapy which allows me to tailor the therapy i can offer to my client's needs

My experience in mainly working for an organisation that supports survivors of sexual violence. I also have a private practice where i have worked with a variety of clients with a range of mental health issues.

I aim to provide a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your reasons for seeking therapy. I will work at your pace with focus on the issues you wish to explore.

I understand making the first step into therapy is difficult, however, we can work together at your pace and build a good therapeutic relationship where we work together to help you move forward

Practice description

The first session is usually an assessment session that allows us to work together and start to build a trusting relationship and explore together what you would like to focus on. This can be in the form of a chat which allows you to get to know me as a therapist and for me to understand your situation and what is going on for you. I addition, it also allows you to feel comfortable and get a sense of if e will be able to work together. We would also go through some self assessed questionnaires which will allow us to highlight if anything is going on in the background that may also be contributing to your systems.

I am client led so working at your pace so you feel comfortable is always at the forefront of my mind. I may offer some guidance as to which interventions may be effective for you but these are optional and may be set at a different price, however, if you would prefer to work in a person centred format then that can also be provided.
