I have some availability at the moment so do drop me an email or leave me a message. I offer a concessionary rate of £70 for counselling and psychotherapy trainees.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m a warm, experienced and qualified Person-Centred Psychotherapist. Whilst I work with people from many walks of life, my background in performance arts brings my insight and understanding of the particular difficulties actors, dancers, musicians and other creatives can face, to my work with them.

I have also researched the impact of attending boarding school, and the reverberations those who've boarded might feel in adult life, for my MSc dissertation in Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute.

More generally, whether you’re suffering with anxiety, depression, a lack of self-confidence, loneliness, isolation, conflict in relationships at home or at work, an inability to move past painful experiences, bereavement or loss (in any form), difficulty with navigating a life-transition - or you are simply wanting to explore who you are and who you'd like to be - I can help.

In therapy we can sensitively explore and make sense of your experiences and your responses to them. Through therapy you can build trust in yourself, choose your own direction, and live a more fulfilling life, at greater ease with yourself and others. I aim to offer a kind, respectful and non-judgmental space in which you are welcomed, just as you are. You will steer us both: you decide what to share, at your own pace and for as many sessions as you'd like.

I understand it can take courage to reach out to a therapist and I'm here when you're ready. Give me a call or send me an email and we can have a brief chat to find a time to meet.

Do get in touch. I look forward to meeting you.

Practice description

I work face-to-face and online from two different practice rooms on Kingsland Road in Dalston (London E8) during the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

I offer weekly therapy and I work with adults on a one to one basis (rather than with couples).

I also enjoy working with trainee therapists and counsellors and offer them a concessionary rate of £70 per session.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch by email, text or phone-call to check my availability and to arrange an initial session.

My first session

I’ll send you some information about the practical aspects of my practice for you to read before we meet (like directions, if applicable, cancellation policy and payment details) and if you have any queries you're welcome to drop me a line or raise them in our first session. This initial session gives us an opportunity to meet online or in person - without any obligation to continue - and for you to share what brings you to therapy now and what you're hoping for from the process. I’m likely to ask more questions in this first session than in later ones, to try to draw a sketch outline of your situation and therefore assess my capacity to help you. You are very welcome to bring any questions you might have about me and my approach and we can each get a feel for how we might work together and whether we’re ‘a good fit.’

I offer a full 50 minute session for this and I charge my usual fee.

If we both think we could build a relationship which could be useful to you, we can continue to work together at an agreed time each week. You might want to meet for a number of weeks and then to review whether to carry on, or you may prefer to embark upon the therapy with a more open-ended approach, reviewing as we go. The choice is yours. We can regularly check in to ensure that you continue to get what you need and I welcome your feedback about your experience throughout the process.
