I currently have morning, evening and weekend availability.

I do not have availability on a Wednesday.

My earliest appointment of the day is 6:30am and my latest is 7pm.

About me and my therapy practice

I help clients with a wide range of mental health issues, such as depression, low self-worth, anxiety, grief/loss, social and relationship difficulties, anger management and chronic illness to name a few.

I help adults just like you!

However, my special interest is working with anxiety and having lived with my own anxiety, depression and trauma I can understand some of what you are going through.

As a pluralistic practitioner my core theory is that of the person-centred approach whilst drawing on insights and practices from other approaches thereby tailoring your counselling to suit your needs.


It takes courage to take these first steps but if you are ready then I am here to help support and empower you.

Practice description

I work online, via telephone or outdoors.

My style of work is relaxed and warm. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion. It is important that you feel comfortable when working with me so that you can share your worries and difficulties so that together we can take steps to make things better for you.

The aim of counselling is to allow you to tell me what is going on for you and together we can explore what is happening in your life and, by understanding it better, for you to make any necessary choices and changes.  I will be there to support you,  help you make decisions and if I have any tools in my box which I think might be useful for you I will offer them up to you.

As well as talking therapy, should you wish to do so, I can incorporate creative practice using line shape and colour, various mindfulness techniques or use Focusing to help you explore your felt sense.

I can also introduce exercises to help you to calm your nervous system and we can work with somatic techniques.

I encourage you to bring along paper, pencils or pens so that you can, if invited to do so, participate in an exercise or take any notes for yourself.

Each session is 50 minutes long and arranged by appointment once a week or as negotiated.  

Payment is required immediately following booking and I have a 24 hours notice of cancellation policy. 

My first session

On the day of your first session if we are working together online that might be via WhatsApp, or Zoom.  If it is via zoom then I will send you a link prior to the session.

If we are working via telephone then I will call you at the agreed time and if we are working outdoors I will meet you at the time and place agreed.

Some clients also like to vary their sessions by having online therapy and outdoor therapy.  If this is something that you would like to do we can discuss this.

Your initial session will include answering some questions which are gentle and not meant to be exhaustive or to make judgements but to be able to build a picture of whatโ€™s going on for you and for us to get to know each other better.

We will also discuss what you want me to help you focus on, if you want me to encourage you to go towards difficult emotions and to express strong feelings or if you want help focusing on your life in the past or to reflect on your childhood.  Some clients like to work on specific long term issues and some like to bring their weekly problems.  Itโ€™s your choice! 

Towards the end of the session we will discuss a way of moving forward and how many sessions you would like to have i.e. short-term or long-term.
