About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited counsellor with almost 6 years of experience supporting a diverse range of adult clients of all ages, with issues that include (but not limited to), anxiety, depression, panic disorder, bereavement (including bereavement by suicide), identity issues, low self-esteem, guilt, shame, self-harm, and PTSD / CPTSD. I accompany my clients in their sadness, chaos, depression, and confusion, and I help people to give a voice to their true feelings in a non-judgmental space. Even though I have a lot of experience with many issues over the years, trauma and bereavement have been my particular areas of focus.
Trauma Counselling: My primary research as part of my MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy, investigated how creative interventions aid change when working with childhood trauma. I work in a trauma-informed way which involves helping you to feel safe and resourced while we process what happened to you. I provide a safe and empathic base where you can explore your experiences
Bereavement Counselling: I also have a diploma in Grief and Bereavement, and 2.5 years of experience working as a bereavement practitioner, helping clients explore and process their loss. This can often mean processing other associated losses which reinforce the depth of their grief. I have been able to help my clients adjust to their loss in a way that honours the unique relationship that they have with their loved one.
My primary way of working is person-centred / trauma-informed, though I have a variety of tools from different modalities that I use depending on your needs. I also have a background in visual art, and I may suggest creative ways of expression from time to time if I feel it could be beneficial.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited counsellor with almost 6 years’ experience of supporting many adult clients, in my private practice. I have also worked at a local mental health charity, several EAP providers, and a bereavement service. I accompany my clients in their sadness, chaos, depression, and confusion, and I help people to give a voice to their true feelings in a non-judgmental space.
My core training was in Person Centred Therapy, and this approach is the scaffolding of much of my practice. Over the years, I've developed a strong focus on Trauma, Neurodivergence, and Bereavement. I also integrate other modalities as and when appropriate.
My Counselling & Psychotherapy Masters research project investigated how creative interventions aid change when working with childhood trauma. I work in a trauma-informed way which involves helping clients to feel safe and resourced while we process what happened. I provide a safe and empathic base where traumatic material can be explored at a safe pace
Practice description
I am currently training to become a supervisor, and I am offering supervision sessions free of charge as part of my development on the Advanced Certificate of Clinical Supervision course with Counselling Tutor. My practice is informed by the BACP Ethical Framework.
I will be using the 7-Eyed Model of supervision, which is a framework that allows us to look at your work through different lenses. This framework influences a reflective and holistic style of supervision.
My aim is to provide a safe and supportive space for us to explore challenges you’re experiencing, guide you in your professional journey, and support your wellbeing.
My first session
Once you have contacted me, we can arrange an initial 15-20 minute telephone consultation to answer any queries you may have. If you decide you would like to work together, we can then arrange a session.
Sessions are usually held on Zoom, or GoogleMeet.
