About me and my therapy practice
I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, bereavement because of a suicide, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, trauma, and low self-esteem. Therapy with me is confidential and non-judgemental; we work at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach involves thinking about unconscious processes that affect how you see yourself and others. This can be challenging but I think ultimately meaningful.
I tend to work with problematic patterns you encounter such as relationship breakdowns, recurring suicidal thoughts, or issues with self-esteem and anger.
With individuals, I work with a variety of presenting concerns. I specialise in the areas of grief and loss and work with bereavement because of suicide.
With couples, I work with various concerns such as anger, resentment, infidelity, and communication difficulties. I also work with transitions couples may be navigating such as parenthood and changes to employment or residence, or navigating a transition of separation or divorce.
Relationship/couples work is open to non-romantic relationships. For example, some 'couples' who seek counselling can be parent-child, business partners, or co-parents.
My relationship work includes working with non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships in which three or more individuals may be involved in the relationship(s).
