Availability

Due to extending my working hours I currently have availability for online clients (via video call) for daytime sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I work with teenagers and adults.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor offering talking therapy (for issues including anxiety, self harm, OCD, family, low moods, baby loss, bereavement and intrusive thoughts), as well as specialising in eating disorders, with experience of working with anorexia, bulimia, over-eating, binging, arfid, and all the many EDs that don't fit in to a tick box. I work remotely (online via video sessions), with clients across the UK. I offer client centrered talking therapy, CBT-E, CBT-T and CBT-AR (Arfid).

I have worked in many secondary schools across Kent delivering self harm workshops & 1:1 support to teenagers. I have also delivered bereavement counselling for baby loss, worked with children experiencing bereavement during the pandemic, and consulted with a number of eating disorder charities and organisations. I am certified by the eating disorder charity BEAT.

Like any addiction, eating disorders are hard to give up (and to understand why this is). However, unlike with other addictions; where alcohol for example can be avoided, food cannot. It is everywhere around us, often being the centre of social events. During our sessions we will look at timelines, life events, triggers, and barriers to recovery.

I strongly believe that, "a healer is someone who seeks to be the light she wishes she had in her darkest moments." I understand that taking the first steps towards counselling is not always easy. My own life has not been without struggles and my own experiences of personal counselling have helped shaped the type of counsellor I strive to be.

Counselling can help you make sense of past experiences and significant life events. I offer an empathetic, accepting and non-judgemental space where I will focus upon your needs. I understand what it is like to be the one sitting in the client's chair.

If my profile appeals to you then please do reach out.
