Practice description
Format
Counselling can help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to create changes in your life and improve your overall well-being. This may include exploring your beliefs, values and behaviours and developing coping strategies or challenging thought patterns to help you create change. The sessions offer a confidential, safe space to explore feelings without judgment. We can work in various ways, and if you're unsure, I can recommend a plan for you after an initial session.
Session Length
Each session is 50 minutes.
Number of Sessions
We can have a fixed number of sessions to fit your budget or time. Alternatively, we can take an open-ended approach and have sessions for as long as you require, tailoring support to what is helpful to you. I can offer sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly to suit you.
Sessions are delivered in a way that suits you

My first session
Introduction
I offer an optional 30-minute free introductory meeting by phone or Zoom to find out more about what you are looking to work through and for us to consider if counselling might help support you.
We can also discuss how you might like to work and agree on session availability. You'll be under no obligation, and it's a chance for you to discuss what you might be looking for from therapy and to see if you feel comfortable with me and whether I can support you. If, for any reason, I'm unable to support you, I'll also help signpost you to other suitable services.
Alternatively, we can set up the first 50-minute session if you want to proceed with counselling sessions.
