About me and my therapy practice
Do you put on a brave face but feel different on the inside? Perhaps overwhelmed by sadness or by anxious, spiralling thoughts? Maybe you just feel empty and numb. I know how tough life can be at times and how lonely it feels when no one seems to understand.
If you’re wondering when you’ll feel happy or hopeful again, or you’re worrying about the future and fearing the worst, or maybe you’re struggling with a big change and a sense of who you are, I’d like to help.
Coping with daily life can be exhausting. Feeling lost or stuck can be scary and frustrating. Feeling low, or like you're not enough or just don't fit in, can be really isolating.
I understand. You don't have to deal with this on your own. Come and talk to me and together we'll find a way through.
Being able to speak freely to someone, without fear of judgement or shame, can be a huge relief. To feel seen and truly heard, and accepted for who you are is liberating; like a breath of fresh air.
I support adults affected by anxiety, depression, grief, and low self esteem, often those who have experienced bereavement, trauma, abuse, a major life transition, or a difficult childhood.
I help adults who are struggling with:
- overthinking
- perfectionism
- stress at work or home
- social anxiety and friendship groups
- health anxiety
- panic attacks
- feeling sad or low
- self-harm and suicidal thoughts
- PTSD and Complex PTSD
- childhood sexual abuse
- emotional abuse
I have a special interest in supporting young adults (18-30) and university/PhD students to manage the challenges they face.
I also have experience working with neurodivergence and helping people navigate the impact of ADD/ADHD, autism, and masking.
I enjoy using Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) in my practice as a compassionate and non-medical way to understand our individual parts, our internal battles, and our coping mechanisms.
Practice description
Our work together can help ease your pain and confusion, and support you to feel lighter, calmer and clearer, with more confidence and self-compassion to cope with daily life. We will go at your pace and, whatever comes up, we can make sense of it together.
I am passionate about reducing distress, healing from trauma, and encouraging you to believe it's ok to be you.
I draw upon my own lived experience to help others who are struggling with a sense of worry, loss, or worthlessness. I bring my warmth, compassion and intuition to build a genuine connection and a safe therapeutic relationship that is healing.
Counselling has helped me through some difficult times; I’m confident it can help you, too.
